Shadowhunters Gather!
I was scrolling through my Twitter feed and noticed a Q&A going on with Cassandra Clare about the newly released book Lady Midnight, the first book in The Dark Artifices series, and the next saga in the Shadowhunters Chronicles. Since the book was released to the public just a few days ago, and I’m eyeball deep into my copy, I started to follow along.
People are going nuts over this book, and I get it! I’ve read the prequels, the sequels, the codex, and The Bane Chronicles. So, yeah, I’m a big fan *blushing*. Plus, with the new Freeform (formerly ABC Family) series, Shadowhunters, just released last month, Cassie’s fanbase is growing rabid exponentially.
The fever over this series isn’t just for the YA crowd, no, no, no. These books are full of adventure, excitement, fun, love angst, and fantasy that anyone who loves the paranormal, urban fantasy scene is going to get swallowed whole once you step into Clare’s shadow world.

If you’re new to the series, don’t worry too much about jumping in with Lady Midnight, but if you’re asking me where you should start, then I’d have to say The Infernal Devices series. That’s the prequel to the entire Shadowhunter world, and it’s my personal favorite. I’ve read it so many times I could probably recite the thing to ya if you dared me!
Did you know that Cassandra Clare has a cool Tumblr? Maybe you’re a few steps ahead me if you knew that, but I’m just finding out ¯\(°_o)/¯.
